Monte Cristo Bake - cooking recipe

3 tbsp butter, at room temperature
8 slices white bread
9 oz shaved ham
6 None eggs, at room temperature
1/2 cup milk
2 cloves garlic, crushed
3 None green onions, thinly sliced
4 oz cherry tomatoes, halved
1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp torn parsley leaves
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350\u00b0F. Grease a 1 1/2-quart square baking dish. Butter bread, then place ham on 4 slices. Top with remaining bread. Cut in half diagonally.
Whisk eggs, milk, garlic and green onion in a large bowl. Dip sandwiches into mixture. Arrange sandwiches in 2 rows in prepared dish, overlapping. Pour remaining egg mixture over sandwiches. Let stand 10 mins to absorb. Top with tomato and mozzarella cheese.
Bake 40 mins or until golden and just set. Let stand for 5 mins before serving. Sprinkle with parsley.
