Hearty Hamburger-Tomato Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb lean ground beef
    1 1/4 cups onions, chopped
    2 cups carrots, peeled and sliced
    1 cup green bell pepper, chopped
    1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
    1 (16 ounce) can cut green beans, drained
    1 (16 ounce) can corn, drained
    3 stalks celery, sliced
    1 (46 ounce) can picante v-8 tomato juice
    2 teaspoons sugar
    1 teaspoon celery seed
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown ground beef in a large saucepan. Drain the fat and mix in remaining ingredients.
    Bring the mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Cool and freeze in a 16-cup container.
    To prepare for serving, thaw stew and then bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer 10 minutes.
    Suggested sides: Parsnip fries.
