Sesame Seed Baked Tofu - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    300 g firm tofu
    1/4 cup water
    2 tablespoons soya sauce
    1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
    1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
    1 garlic clove, finely chopped
    2 teaspoons fresh ginger, finely chopped
    1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
    1 teaspoon sesame oil
    1 tablespoon sesame seeds, roasted
    1 green onion, minced
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350F.
    Cut tofu into 6 or 8 slices.
    Place in a square pan in a single layer.
    In a small saucepan, combine water, soya sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and corn starch.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    While stirring, add oil.
    Pour onto tofu.
    Marinate 15 minutes (if prepared in advance, refrigerate overnight and rotate tofu occasionally).
    Bake approximately 25 minutes or until tofu has a glazed look.
    Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
    *1 portion = 3 slices and represents 2 portions of meat & substitutes.
