Chocolate Filled Bonbons - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup lard
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 cup brown sugar
    1 egg
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon almond extract
    1 3/4 cups flour
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup finely chopped almonds
    3 -4 dozen chocolate rosettes (rosebuds)
Preparation
    Cream lard, beat in sugar.
    Add eggs, and flavourings.
    Mix dry ingredients and add.
    Form into 1 inch balls.
    Press each ball around a chocolate rosebud.
    Bake 12 mins on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350F.
