Molasses Fruit Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups sifted enriched flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    1 egg
    1/2 cup molasses
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/4 cup shortening, melted
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 1/2 tablespoons lemon rind, grated
    1/3 cup figs or 1/3 cup dates, chopped
    1/4 cup citron, sliced
    1/2 cup nuts, chopped
    2/3 cup milk
Preparation
    To the sifted dry ingredients add the egg, molasses, sugar, shortening, lemon juice, rind, fruit and nuts. Blend well. Add milk to the flour mixture and stir only until ingredients are blended.
    Pour into a well greased 5x9x3-inch pan. Bake at 350F for one hour.
