Fragrant Basmati Rice - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 cups basmati rice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 dash saffron
2 1/2 cups water
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil, and stir.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes.
Remove from heat and let rice stand 5 minutes.
