Anadama Batter Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (1/4 ounce) package dry yeast
    1/4 cup water
    3/4 cup boiling water
    1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
    3 tablespoons butter, softened
    1/4 cup molasses
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1 egg
    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Preparation
    In a small bowl, proof the yeast in the warm water.
    In large bowl, combine the boiling water, cornmeal, butter, molasses, and salt. Add the egg and 1 1/2 cups of the flour. Beat until well combined.
    Add the rest of the flour and yeast, and beat again.
    Spoon the dough into a 9-inch bread pan. Let rise for about 1 hour.
    Preheat the oven at 375\u00b0F and bake for 35 minutes.
