Wilted Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heads leaf lettuce, washed and torn into pieces
    1 bunch green onion, chopped
    6 slices bacon
    1/4 cup cider vinegar
    1/4 cup water
Preparation
    Clean and rip up lettuce into larger serving bowl.
    Chop onions and add to bowl with lettuce.
    Fry bacon until crisp in frying pan and drain on paper towels.
    Crumble bacon when cool.
    Add vinegar and water to bacon fat in frying pan and bring to boil.
    Pour boiling bacon grease and vinegar mixture over salad greens, stirring constantly while lettuce wilts.
    Mix well.
    Garnish with bacon bits before serving.
