Toffee Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup evaporated milk
    2 cups sugar
    4 tablespoons corn syrup
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    1 cup nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix milk, sugar, syrup, butter and salt in a pan.
    Cook over low heat stirring to prevent scorching.
    Cook to hard crack stage.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir in vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into buttered pan.
    Allow to cool.
    Score.
    Remove from pan when well cooled.
    Break into pieces.
