Prairie Apple Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large baking apples
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1 dash salt
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    cream (optional)
    oatmeal (optional)
Preparation
    Place apples in greased 12x7 inches baking dish. Sprinkle with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
    In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, flour, and butter (and a little oatmeal, optional). I added a little oatmeal, maybe 1/4 cup or less. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
    Bake 350 for 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm or at room temp, with cream if desired.
