Ingredients

1/2 lb chopped dates or 1/2 lb other chopped dried fruit
1 cup rolled oats (not instant or steel cut)
2 eggs
1/2 cup molasses
2/3 cup water
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 lemon, juiced
Preparation

Mix all ingredients.
Pour into ramekins or pudding molds 2/3rd of the way full.
Cover with greased aluminum foil.
Place into steamer.
Cook for 3 hours, replenishing water as needed.
Serve with pudding sauce of your choice.
