Banana Applesauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 small granny smith apples
    4 small bananas
    1/4 teaspoon apple-brandy extract
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (or more to taste)
    1 tablespoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 tablespoons raw sugar (and or or caster sugar)
1/2 - 3/4 cup water (start with 1/2, add more if necessary)
Preparation
Peel, quarter, core and slice apples. Chop bananas. Combine both in in a large saucepan; add remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil; cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until apple is pulpy. Reduce heat to low or medium and whisk/stir until pretty well mashed; remove from heat and continue whisking/mashing until it is as smooth as you like it.
