Hillbilly Bean Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 bag 7 bean mix, rinsed and soaked over night or 1 bag 15 bean mix
7 cups water
1 ham bone
1 bay leaf
1 hot chili peppers or 1 dried chili
2 teaspoons mixed herbs
1/2 cup dried parsley
1/4 cup summer savory
1/4 cup cumin seed
2 teaspoons fennel seeds
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
2 teaspoons dill seeds
2 teaspoons cracked coriander seeds
2 teaspoons sweet basil
2 teaspoons dried chervil
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon lemon thyme
1 teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon lavender
1 teaspoon sweet marjoram
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper
1 (16 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 carrot, sliced
1 stalk celery, sliced with leaves
2 medium potatoes, diced
4 ounces green beans, trimmed and chopped
1 -3 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 drops honey
minced fresh green herbs
Preparation

Boil the drained, soaked beans with the water, bone, bay leaf and chili in a large pot.
Reduce to a simmer and simmer for 3 hours.
Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hour longer.
This was a requested recipe and in my comments I said that if you dont have all the ingredients for the herb mix dont worry about it.
Shake in what you got.
If you go out and buy everything required in the spices-you're looking at around 50 bucks!
