Black Eyed Pea Cocktail Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas
    2 tablespoons grated onions
    1 beaten egg
    1 tablespoon salad oil
    5 tablespoons flour
    red pepper
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 teaspoon sage
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Drain and mash black eyed peas.
    Combine all ingredients, except cooking oil, the 1 tablespoon salad oil is combined with all ingredients.
    MIx well.
    Drop by rounded teaspoons into hot cooking oil; cook until browned.
    Drain on absorbent towels.
    This may be made into patties and fried, it has a sausage taste.
