Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup shortening
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup white sugar
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3 cups oatmeal
    1 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup water
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Beat together shortening, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla until creamy.
    Next add Cinnamon, Baking Soda, and opt. Salt.
    Then add flour.
    Finally, add Oats.
    Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
