Perfect Sweet Tea (Secret Of The South) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

12 tea bags
1 quart water, boiling
3 quarts water, cool
1 cup sugar (more or less to taste, in TX they use 1.5 cups)
1/4 teaspoon baking soda (the secret ingredient)

Preparation

Sprinkle baking soda into a 1 gallon pitcher.
Add tea bags.
Pour boiling water over tea bags.
Cover and steep 15 minutes.
Remove tea bags (I hope you compost them).
Add cool water.
Refrigerate until cold and you are ready to drink it.
Serve over ice.
