Old Fashioned Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, beaten
    4 cups milk
    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    1/2 cup raisins (optional)
    1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/2 cup uncooked white rice
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 300\u00b0F.
    Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.
    Beat eggs and add milk.
    Stir in sugar, uncooked rice, butter, vanilla essence, raisins and nutmeg.
    Pour into the prepared pan.
    Bake uncovered for 2 1/2 hours and make sure to stir frequently during the first hour.
    Serve warm/cold as per your choice.
