Easy Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium sweet onion
    2 minced garlic cloves
    2 tablespoons butter
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    28 ounces crushed tomatoes
    5 1/2 cups tomato juice
    2 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons chicken base
    1/2 teaspoon white pepper
    1 cup red wine
    2 teaspoons dried basil
    2 teaspoons parsley flakes
    12 ounces low fat evaporated milk
Preparation
    Melt the butter with the olive oil in a medium pot.
    Saute the onion and garlic until the onion is translucent.
    Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato juice, sugar, chicken base, white pepper, wine, basil, and parsley.
    Bring the soup to a boil.
    Reduce the heat to low , stir in the evaporated milk., and simmer for 10 minutes.
