Apple Mystery Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 dash cinnamon
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 cups chopped peeled tart apples
    3/4 cup chopped walnuts
    Cinnamon Hard Sauce more like an icing
    1/4 cup butter, softened
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 dash salt
    1 tablespoon milk
    1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350 degrees.
    Grease 9 inch pie pan.
    In large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash of cinnamon.
    Stir in 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla and eggs.
    Add apples and walnuts and mix well.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes, or until browned and firm to the touch.
    Hard Sauce:
    In small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients and beat at high speed of mixer (or Kitchen Aid).
    Shape into 2 inch thick roll and wrap in plastic wrap.
    Refrigerate until firm.
    To serve, cut hard sauce into slices and top each serving of dessert with one.
