Rajmah (Curried Red Kidney Beans) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chopped onion
    2 (16 ounce) cans red kidney beans, drained
    1/2 cup crushed tomatoes (fresh or canned)
    1 tablespoon oil
    Seasonings
    1 teaspoon chopped ginger
    1 teaspoon cumin powder
    1 teaspoon coriander powder
    1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
    1 teaspoon garam masala
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    Garnish
    2 tablespoons chopped green coriander
Preparation
    Heat the oil in a saucepan on medium to high heat.
    Add chopped onions and stir until they are translucent.
    Add ginger, cumin powder and coriander powder.
    Stir for a minute.
    Add the tomatoes, kidney beans, and red chili powder.
    Add water as needed.
    Boil and let it simmer for 15 minutes until the gravy is thick.
    Add black pepper and garam masala to make it spicy.
    Serve garnished with green coriander.
