Buttercream Frosting - cooking recipe

1 cup butter, softened
1 (2 lb) package powdered sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
food coloring (optional)
Preparation

BEAT butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy; gradually add powdered sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add milk, beating until spreading consistency. Stir in vanilla.
