Lentil Soup With Bacon - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices bacon, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    2 carrots, sliced
    1 1/2 cups dry green lentils, rinsed
    6 cups chicken broth
    1 bay leaf
    1 teaspoon cumin
    1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Preparation
    In a saucepan, brown the bacon. Remove the bacon and set aside.
    Add onion and carrots, cook 5 minutes.
    Add lentils, chicken broth and bay leaf.
    Let simmer 25 to 30 minutes.
    Add the bacon, cumin and parsley.
