Basic Chinese Sweet And Sour Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons cornstarch
    3/4 cup sugar
    1/3 cup vinegar
    1 teaspoon sherry wine
    1/3 cup water
    2 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 teaspoon chinese thick molasses (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients in a saucepan.
    Stir constantly while cooking.
    Boil sauce until thickened.
    Store for use.
