Scottish Clapshot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb potato, Peeled And Chopped
    1 lb turnip, Peeled And Chopped
    2 ounces butter
    1 tablespoon chives, Snipped
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Place potatoes and turnips in cold water. Bring to boil and simmer for 20 minutes. Drain and mash with the butter.
    Season with salt and pepper.
    Serve spinkled with chives.
