Souper Simple Tortellini Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons butter
    1/4 cup onion, chopped
    1/2 cup celery, chopped
    1/2 cup carrot, chopped
    3 garlic cloves, minced
    1 -2 chicken bouillon cube, depending on personal preference
    1 (10 ounce) package chicken-filled tortellini or (10 ounce) package cheese tortellini
    6 cups water
    1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated (optional)
Preparation
    Saute onion, celery, carrots, and garlic in butter over medium heat until crisp-tender in a large stock pot or dutch oven.
    Stir in water and boullion, and heat to boiling.
    Add tortellini, and reduce heat to medium low.
    Simmer 15-20 minutes or until tortellini are tender.
    Stir in parsley, nutmeg, pepper. Sprinkle each bowl with cheese for garnish.
