Indian Style Lentils - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups dry lentils
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    3 garlic cloves (sliced)
    1 onion (diced)
    1 tablespoon ketchup
    1 (13 ounce) can unsweetened coconut milk
    1 tablespoon ground coriander
    2 teaspoons ground cumin
    1/2 teaspoon chili powder
    2 teaspoons turmeric
    1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
Preparation
    Cook lentils in 4 cups water until tender. 15-25 minute Meanwhile saute the garlic and onion in the oil. Transfer to a medium sized bowl and add the rest of the ingredients and stir very well.
    Once lentils are soft, combine the onion mixture with the lentils in a slow cooker and cook over low heat for at least two hours.
