Bran Muffins #5 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups all-bran cereal
    4 shredded wheat biscuits, crumbled with
    1/2 cup boiling water (ample enough to soften)
    2 cups sugar
    1 cup shortening
    4 eggs
    5 cups flour, sifted w/
    5 teaspoons baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    3 teaspoons salt
    Later add
    1 quart buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs.
    Mix well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients.
    Add cereal and buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Cook at 400 degrees for 10 - 15 minutes.
