Ingredients

1 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup coconut
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugars. Add vanilla and egg and beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Roll dough into balls using 1 teaspoon per cookie. Dip in water, then in granulated sugar.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 350.
