Ingredients

1 cup butter
1/2 lb extra-sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup nuts (sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, pepitas or whatever)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon romano cheese or 1 tablespoon parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons dried parsley
Preparation

Mix ingredients by hand or with mixer. Dough will be very stiff. Roll into 4 thin logs in waxed paper. Chill or freeze.
When ready to use, slice into thin rounds and place on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 350F for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
