Turtle Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cups sugar
    3/4 cup butter
    1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk
    1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
    30 caramels, cut in quarters
    1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
    1 cup pecan halves
    1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
    In a heavy 3 quart saucepan, combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk.
    Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly over medium heat until candy thermometer reaches 234\u00b0 or to soft ball stage.
    Remove from heat, add chocolate chips and stir until melted.
    Add remaining ingredients, beating until well mixed.
    Pour into greased 13 x 9 pan.
    Cool to room temperature and cut into squares.
