2/3 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
    1 tablespoon brown sugar
    2 tablespoons minced ginger
    2 large minced garlic cloves
1 lb boneless steak, cut into thin three inch strips (flank or skirt work well)
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
    2 dashes sesame oil, divided
    4 -6 cups broccoli florets
1 dash salt and pepper, to taste
1 medium onion, cut into wedges
16 ounces cooked cauliflower rice (great for a low carb dinner) or 16 ounces cooked rice
Preparation
    Make sauce/marinade:
In a bowl, combine beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic until smooth.
Add beef and marinate for 30 minutes.
In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoon cornstarch, 2 tablespoons water and 1/2 tsp garlic powder until smooth.
Remove beef from marinade; add it to the cornstarch mix bowl and toss.
In a large skillet or wok over medium high heat, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon veggie oil (and a dash of sesame oil) until beef reaches desired doneness; remove and keep warm.
Stir-fry broccoli and onion in 1 tablespoon oil (and a dash of sesame oil) for 4-5 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
    Return beef to pan.
Add meat marinade to the pan.
Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
    Serve over rice.
