Brandied Strawberries - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
    1 cup water
    1 (16 ounce) package frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed and drained
    1/4 cup lemon juice
    1/2 cup brandy
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
    Stir in strawberries and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat, stir in brandy.
    Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
    Serve with cake or ice cream.
