Oatmeal Sadies (Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups rolled oats
    2 cups flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1 tablespoon hot water
    1 cup shortening or 1 cup margarine, softened
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup white sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Dissolve baking soda in hot water.
    Combine all ingredients, including baking soda/water mixture, mix well.
    Using your hands (or some other creative way), form balls of dough.
    Roll balls in powdered sugar.
    Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
