Jiffy Date Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup sugar
    3/4 cup self raising flour
    2 eggs
    375 g dates, pitted and chopped
    185 g walnuts, chopped
    1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar together.
    Stir in flour, walnuts, dates and vanilla.
    Press into grease lamington tin.
    Bake in a moderate oven - 180 C for 25 minutes.
    Cut into bars while still hot then leave to cool.
