Stewed Okra - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 slice bacon, thick sliced, cut into pieces
10 okra pods, sliced 1/2 inch
1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper (to taste)
1/2 cup water
Preparation

In a small frypan, cook bacon til almost crisp. Add okra and saute for about 2 minutes. Add water to pan, lower to low heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
