Crock Pot Carrot And Bacon Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    5 carrots, diced
    4 potatoes, diced
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 teaspoon dried basil
    1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
    6 cups chicken broth
    sour cream (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all the ingredients except the sour cream in the slow cooker.
    Cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours, or on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.
    Transfer to a blender or food processor, and puree in batches until smooth.
    Return to the slow cooker, and cook for an additional 30 minutes on HIGH; serve with dollops of sour cream.
