Brown Sugar Cranberry Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 quart fresh cranberries or 1 quart frozen cranberries, picked through
    1/2 cup water
    1 lb dark brown sugar
Preparation
    Bring cranberries and water to a boil.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 35 to 40 minutes until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
    Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved then remove from heat and cool.
