Red Wine Sauce For Pasta Or Chicken - cooking recipe

3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons chopped red peppers
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups beef broth
1 cup red wine
1 tablespoon sugar (to taste)
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
2 teaspoons parsley
3/4 teaspoon rosemary
salt and pepper (to taste)
Preparation

Heat butter in a large saucepan over medium heat and add onion, garlic, and peppers.
Saute for 3 minutes and add flour until incorporated.
Add next 7 ingredients and bring to a boil.
Once thickened, reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.
If mixture becomes too thick add additional broth.
Serve hot.
