Crunchy Dessert Topping - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 cup dark brown sugar
    2 teaspoons lemon juice
    1 1/2 cups toasted wheat germ
    1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    1/4 cup chopped pecans
Preparation
    In a large skillet, combine the brown sugar and lemon juice.
    Cook over low heat, stirring frequently, for 2 minutes or until the sugar has melted.
    Stir in the wheat germ and oil, and cook, stirring frequently for 9 minutes or until richly brown.
    Stir in the pecans and cook for 1 minute.
    Cool to room temperature, transfer to an airtight container, and store at room temperature for up to 3 days. Freeze for longer storage.
