Low Glycemic Oat Nut Bars For The Diabetic - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cups sunflower seeds (ground)
    3/4 cup sesame seeds
    2 cups rolled oats
    1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
    1/2 cup cocoa
    3/4 cup almond butter (or other nut butter)
    1/2 cup barley malt
    2 teaspoons vital wheat gluten
    2 teaspoons brewer's yeast
    1/4 cup flax seed
    1/2 cup dried cranberries (fruit sweetened if you can find)
    1/2 cup slivered almonds
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup Xylitol sweetener
    2 tablespoons vanilla
    1 1/2 cups agave nectar
Preparation
    Mix all the dry ingredients first, then add the Agave and vanilla. A very stiff dough will form. If it is too stiff add a bit more Agave. Form into balls or roll out onto a cookie sheet and cut into bars.
