Spaghetti And Meat Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    3 tablespoons olive oil
    2 (1 lb) cans tomatoes
    2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
    1 cup water
    1 tablespoon sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons salt
    1/2 teaspoon pepper
    1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
    1 bay leaf
    4 dry bread, sliced
    1 lb lean ground beef
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup romano cheese, grated
    2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1 teaspoon oregano, crushed
    1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    1.\tCook onion and garlic in hot oil till tender but not brown. Stir in the next 8 ingredients. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes; remove bay leaf. Add Italian Meat Balls (see below) and continue cooking about 30 minutes longer.
    2.\tSoak bread in water for 2-3 minutes, then squeeze out moisture. Combine soaked bread with remaining ingredients, mixing well. Form in small balls (about 20). Brown slowly in 2 T hot olive oil. Add to sauce, cook 30 minutes as directed above.
