Streusel Cherry Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
3 small apples, sliced (Gala or Fuji)
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tart cherries, drained
1 unbaked pie shell
Streusel Topping
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons margarine, softened
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 dash nutmeg
Preparation

Combine struesel ingredients in a small bowl until blended. Set aside.
In a saucepan, over medium-low heat, combine sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg. Heat until sauce thickens, gently stirring occasionaly. Add apples, then cherries.
Pour mixture into pie shell. Sprinkle streusel over fruit pie mixture.
Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
When at room temperature, chill in refrigerator.
This is to be served cold but see how YOU like it.
