Tuscan Bean And Onion Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup thinly sliced red onion
    1 (15 ounce) can cannellini or (15 ounce) can borlotti beans, drained, rinsed
    2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Preparation
    Place onion in medium bowl; cover with ice water. Let stand 20 minutes.
    Just before serving, place beans in a large bowl. Drain onions; add to large bowl.
    In small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.
    Add to large bowl; toss.
