Cinnamon Breakfast Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    4 -5 large cooking apples (such as Granny Smith)
    2 tablespoons water
    1/4 cup butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Pare apples and chop into bite sized pieces.
    Put in a 4 C measure and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar as you add the apples.
    When you have 4 cups, put apples, water and butter into a saucepan.
    Cover and cook over low to medium heat, stirring once or twice, for 15-20 minutes or until apples are tender.
