Ingredients

1 (15 ounce) can gooseberries (in light syrup)
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
2 teaspoons cider vinegar (yes, again)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 pinch allspice
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
Preparation

In a small saucepan, combine berries, sugar, vinegar & salt.
Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add alspice, cinnamon & cloves & simmer an additional 10 minutes.
Cool & refrigerate.
