Milk Punch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gallon milk
    1 1/2 cups Bourbon
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg, for garnish
Preparation
    In a large pitcher, combine milk, bourbon, sugar and vanilla extract.
    Stir until sugar has dissolved.
    Add ice cream, stirring to combine.
    Cover and chill.
    If desired, garnish with nutmeg.
