Apple Cherry Chutney - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    2 red onions, sliced thinly
    1 cup cider vinegar
    2 granny smith apples, peeled,cored,diced
    1 cup cherries, pitted
    1/2 inch peeled ginger, minced
    1/2 teaspoon allspice
Preparation
    heat oil in a saucepan, add onions, lower heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    remove lid, add remaining ingredients.
    stir and simmer 25 minutes.
    serve chilled or at room temperature.
