Frozen Red Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head red cabbage, shredded
    1 cup carrot, grated
    1 tablespoon salt
    2 cups sugar
    1/2 cup water
    1 cup vinegar
    1 teaspoon celery seed
    1 tablespoon dry mustard
    1 bell pepper, diced
    1/2 cup onion, diced
    1 stalk celery, diced
Preparation
    Mix shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and salt in a large bowl; let stand one hour; drain very thoroughly.
    Meanwhile while cabbage is setting, boil sugar, water, vinegar, celery seed, and dry mustard for a couple of minutes; cool.
    Pour solution over drained cabbage and carrot; add diced bell pepper, onion, and celery; toss.
    Put into freezer containers.
    Thaw in refrigerator when ready to use.
