Mom'S Ambrosia Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    1 egg
    2 1/4 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F.
    In a small mixing bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Set aside.
    In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
    Add vanilla and egg. Beat well.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Mix well.
    Add chocolate chips. Mix well.
    Roll a heaping teaspoon of dough into a ball.
    Place each ball 2\" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake in preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
    Remove from oven and place cookies on a cooling rack.
