Vegan Date Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup margarine
    1 1/2 cups oats
    1 1/4 cups flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    3 cups dates
    2 cups water
    1/8 teaspoon salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350.
    Melt margarine in saucepan.
    Combine oats, flour and sugar.
    Add melted margarine to dry mixture.
    Cook the dates, water and salt in a saucepan until the water is evaporated. Stirring frequently.
    Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of a 9x9 greased pan and bake for 15 minutes.
    Spread date mixture and then press the rest of the oat mixture on top.
    Bake 20 minutes.
